Terms of service
Version 2026-09-21.1 · Effective September 24, 2026
Additional notice for optional records and health imports in version 1.0.6 and later
1. The service and these terms
DoseTide LLC provides DoseTide to help adults organize schedules, reminders, inventory and personal records. These terms describe use of the service. Our Privacy Policy explains handling of personal information, and the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy addresses consumer health information. Acknowledging terms does not replace a separate consent required for processing sensitive information.
Contact us at larkinjoshuad@gmail.com or through the app's Support screen. DoseTide is not an emergency service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 and legally able to agree to these terms. Use your own account and accurate account information. Keep your credentials secure and notify us if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission. Do not create accounts for children or use another person's identity. A household partner needs their own account and authorization.
You are responsible for information you enter and for checking that the app displays it as intended. This does not waive rights you have concerning defects in the service.
3. Record-keeping, not medical care
DoseTide records and organizes information you provide. It does not diagnose, prescribe, recommend products, determine a dose, adjust treatment or evaluate whether a combination is safe. Content is not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional who knows your circumstances.
Do not use a reminder or inventory estimate to decide how much to take or how to respond to a late or missed treatment. Refer to your existing professional instructions. Seek appropriate medical or emergency help when needed rather than relying on the app or customer support.
4. Reminders and availability
Reminder delivery depends on device permissions, operating-system behavior, battery settings, device time and other conditions. The app provides settings and diagnostic information, but does not guarantee every notification arrives. Keep another way to remember important tasks.
Network interruptions can delay synchronization. Check the displayed identity and synchronization state before relying on a record across devices. Maintenance, outages and store/platform changes may affect availability. We will communicate material service changes as appropriate; these terms do not excuse obligations that cannot legally be excluded.
5. Partner sharing
Household membership does not transfer ownership of your personal records. Select permissions carefully. An authorized partner can act only within the granted scope, and records may show who performed an action. Do not record actions for another person without their permission.
You can revoke permissions or leave a household. That ends future access under those permissions but cannot recall information already seen, exported or independently copied. Medication inventory remains individually owned; shared non-medication supplies do not authorize sharing medication.
6. Free and paid features
Free Core provides the core functions identified in the app. Optional Individual Pro and Household Pro plans add the features displayed before purchase. The store purchase screen shows the applicable price, currency, billing period and any trial or introductory terms. Do not rely on a draft website price or a historical example as a current offer.
Subscriptions may renew automatically under the terms shown by the store. Manage or cancel through the store account that purchased the subscription. Deleting your DoseTide account or uninstalling the app does not itself cancel a store subscription. Restore Purchases helps recover eligible access associated with the purchasing store account and the applicable account-linking rules.
Turning off renewal generally keeps paid access until the paid period ends, unless a refund, revocation or other store condition changes the entitlement. Expiration removes paid features rather than deleting your Free Core records. Plan changes and any prorated or deferred charges follow the actual store confirmation. We do not promise identical change timing across Apple and Google when their mechanisms differ.
Refund requests and mandatory cancellation rights are handled according to the store process and applicable law. Nothing here takes away a non-waivable consumer remedy.
7. Your information and permitted processing
You retain your rights in information you provide. You authorize the processing necessary to operate the functions you request, subject to the Privacy Policy and any separately required consent. You do not grant a general right to sell health records or use them for unrelated advertising.
Do not upload content you lack permission to use or information about someone else without a lawful basis and their required authorization. Exports you save outside DoseTide are your responsibility to protect. Keep independent copies of important records.
8. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to access someone else's private records, bypass access controls, abuse invitations, introduce malicious files, disrupt the service, impersonate others or use the service unlawfully. Do not use DoseTide to market or sell treatments, solicit medication sharing, or distribute harmful instructions. Report a suspected security issue privately rather than publishing user information.
9. Service materials and third-party services
DoseTide's software, branding and service materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. These terms permit ordinary use of the service; they do not transfer those rights. Third-party materials and open-source components remain subject to their applicable licenses. Links to other services do not make DoseTide responsible for their independent practices or endorse medical claims.
For the Apple-distributed app, Apple's standard license agreement applies unless a valid replacement license is expressly adopted. These service terms do not replace that separate license agreement. Store terms separately govern store transactions.
10. Closing accounts and enforcement
You can request account deletion through Account → Privacy and export. The Privacy Policy explains the deletion process, cancellation window and any retained information. Cancel store billing separately if you want renewal to stop.
We may restrict use when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risks or legal requirements. Where appropriate, we will explain the action and provide a way to contact us. Any handling of retained information, refunds and access to records remains subject to applicable law. We do not use suspension as permission to retain health information indefinitely.
11. Important risk acknowledgment, limited release and liability terms
11.1 Read this section before agreeing
This section describes the limits of DoseTide's service and, where law permits, limits certain claims. It applies to DoseTide LLC and its officers, members, employees and agents acting within their work for DoseTide. It does not release an unrelated healthcare provider, partner, store or service provider from that party's independent obligations. The protections and exceptions below apply to every part of this section.
11.2 Rights and liabilities this section does not waive
Nothing in these terms releases or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, intentional or willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by our acts or omissions, or liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit. We also do not use this section to exclude non-waivable statutory duties or remedies concerning privacy, security, consumer protection, product liability, refunds or the supply of digital content and services.
You retain the right to report concerns to regulators, cooperate with investigations and exercise applicable privacy rights. You do not waive claims belonging to another person. These terms do not authorize conduct that would otherwise be unlawful.
11.3 Medical decisions and emergencies
You understand that DoseTide organizes information you enter. It does not establish a clinician-patient relationship, verify a prescription, recommend a product or dose, assess interactions, determine whether treatment is safe, or monitor you for a medical emergency. Paid features and customer support do not change that role. A listed item, saved routine or inventory estimate is not an endorsement or instruction to use a treatment.
You remain responsible for obtaining and following appropriate professional instructions and checking your entries against them. Do not delay medical care because of an app record, missing notification, apparent stock level or response from customer support. Use appropriate emergency services when needed.
11.4 Reminder, device and synchronization risks
Notifications can be late, absent, duplicated or suppressed because of device settings, operating-system behavior, battery restrictions, connectivity, clock or time-zone changes, software defects or other failures. A successful test notification does not guarantee future delivery. Maintain another way to remember important tasks and inspect notification settings when the app reports a problem.
Offline activity may not appear immediately on another device. Check whether a record has synchronized and whose account is displayed. Do not repeat a real-world action merely because a second device has not yet displayed it. If records conflict, use your original instructions and seek appropriate clarification rather than treating the app as a medical authority.
Acknowledging these risks does not excuse our own breach of duties or rights preserved in section 11.2.
11.5 Entered information, history and inventory
You are responsible for checking information you enter, including units, amounts, dates, time zones, ownership and changes to a schedule. Forecasts depend on the data and assumptions displayed; they do not verify what is physically available, usable or appropriate. A record of completion reflects entered information and does not independently prove that an action occurred.
Correct mistakes using the app's correction features. Do not interpret a retained correction history as proof that the original entry was medically appropriate. Keep independent copies of important instructions and records. These responsibilities do not eliminate claims for incorrect processing caused by DoseTide itself.
11.6 Partner permissions and exported information
Only grant sharing or delegated-action permission to someone you trust. Review the identity and scope before granting it. You acknowledge the risk that an authorized recipient can see, remember or independently save information you intentionally disclose. Revoking permission cannot recall a copy already saved outside DoseTide.
The same applies when you deliberately export information to an application, email account or storage location you choose. Protect those copies. This acknowledgment does not release DoseTide for disclosing information outside your permission, failing to enforce access controls, or breaching duties preserved in section 11.2. A partner cannot accept these terms or waive your rights on your behalf merely by joining a household.
11.7 Limited release for independently caused economic loss
Subject to section 11.2 and only where a release of this kind is lawful and fair, you release DoseTide and the people identified in section 11.1 from claims for purely economic loss to the extent that the loss is caused solely by: (a) inaccurate information you knowingly provide or fail to correct after recognizing the error; (b) your deliberate use of DoseTide as a substitute for professional treatment instructions contrary to its clearly described purpose; or (c) an independent act of a recipient involving information you intentionally exported or shared within the permissions you selected.
This is a limited allocation of responsibility for those independent acts. It does not release claims to the extent our own breach, negligent conduct, misleading statement, defective processing or unauthorized disclosure caused or contributed to the loss. It does not cover bodily injury, waive unknown existing claims, settle a past dispute, or waive claims for future conduct outside the specifically described scope. Where this release is prohibited or unfair, it does not apply.
11.8 Warranty limitations
To the extent applicable law permits, DoseTide is supplied on an "as available" basis. We do not make additional implied promises of uninterrupted service, error-free operation or fitness for an individual medical purpose. We do not guarantee that user-entered or independently supplied information is accurate.
This provision does not negate an express commitment we actually make, a misleading product claim, or a statutory guarantee that applies to the service. Customer support cannot amend these terms informally, but that does not remove responsibility for statements that law makes binding on us.
11.9 Economic losses and business use
DoseTide is offered for personal use, not as a clinical practice system, emergency-monitoring service or business-critical record system. Subject to section 11.2 and only where lawful and fair, we exclude liability for lost business profits, lost business opportunities and business interruption arising from use outside that personal-use purpose.
We do not use the label "consequential" or "indirect" to exclude compensation that consumers are legally entitled to receive. In particular, this paragraph does not by itself exclude reasonable restoration costs, loss caused by our failure to supply the service as required, or a legally required refund. No fixed monetary liability cap is adopted by this version of the terms.
11.10 Third parties and subscriptions
Independent platforms control their own services and purchase processes. Their availability is not entirely within DoseTide's control. Nevertheless, using a contractor or platform does not remove responsibilities that law assigns to DoseTide. Subscription billing, refund, cancellation and restoration rights remain governed by section 6, applicable store terms and mandatory law. This liability section does not authorize an incorrect charge or remove an available refund right.
11.11 International consumers and interpretation
Mandatory protections in your applicable jurisdiction prevail over conflicting terms. A reference to California, an app-store agreement, or your acceptance does not automatically remove protections available where you live. These terms do not require mandatory arbitration, impose a shorter statutory claim deadline, waive a class action, or require you to abandon a legally available local forum.
If a provision is invalid, it will not be enforced against you to the extent it is invalid. The remainder continues only where legally permitted. This does not require a court to rewrite an unfair term to maximize our protection. Specific statutory protections control over a general statement that a restriction applies "to the extent permitted by law."
11.12 Acceptance and changes
We will make the applicable version available before asking you to agree. Acceptance must be your affirmative action, not a preselected box, a partner's action or an inference that you accepted because you previously used a different version. Material changes will be handled with the notice and renewed acceptance required by law. The liability provisions applicable to a claim are determined under the relevant agreement and law; we do not retroactively release accrued claims by publishing new terms.
Agreement to these terms is separate from any explicit consent required for health-data processing or sharing. Withdrawing that consent, seeking support, requesting deletion or reporting a problem is not an agreement to release additional claims.
12. Changes and contact
We may update the service and these terms. Material changes will be communicated as required, and changes to sensitive-data purposes may require separate consent. The effective date identifies the version in effect. Contact larkinjoshuad@gmail.com with questions or account issues. Do not send passwords or health records in an initial email.
